MINI MAROONS
Mini Maroons registration morning and first training session will take place on Saturday 28th August 9.30 -11.00 at Netherdale. Parents should bring their children to Gala RFC clubrooms, where they will meet their coaches for the new season. Parents will be required to complete a short registration form on arrival and then the children will be taken over to the back pitches by their coaches for a training session. The minis are open to all boys and girls from Primary 3 to Primary 7.

GRT SGM
Gala Red Triangle are holding a Special General Meeting on the 22nd August at 7.30 pm in the Gala YM Club Rooms, starting at 7.30 pm. Would all committee members and coaches please attend

GRT under 15 Squad
Training starts this Thursday 5th August changing at 6.30 pm in the Hayward Pavilion for a 6.45 pm start and finishing at 8.00 pm. For the first three weeks we will be training both Tuesday and Thursday night (Tuesday 10th, 17th and 26th August) in preparation for first game on 29th August. Then Thursday nights only.

GRT S1 &S2
Training for S1 & S2 will start on Wednesday 25th August all players should report to the Hayward Pavilion for 6.15 ready to start at 6.30.

GRT PLAYER REGISTRATION
Gala Red Triangle's Player Registration Day takes place on Sunday 5th September at Netherdale. The S1 and S2 teams will have a special coaching event with guest International Coaches taking our young players through their paces. More details to follow.

GALA WOMENS

WANDERERS GAME
Gala Wanderers will play Haddington on Saturday 14th August at Home kick off 2.00. Players are reminded that registration and memberships will be taken after the match.

GALA WANDERERS
Training for all Wanderers players’ every Tuesday and Thursday’s at 6.30, old and new players welcome. So if you are aged between 16 and 18 and would like to play rugby, then come and join Gala Wanderers. For further details contact coach Alan Lindores on 01896 754000.

GALA YM
Names are being sought to play in the annual bowling match against Gala Bowling Club on Friday 13th August. The match is always keenly contested by both teams in a friendly atmosphere and a good night is had both on and off the bowling green. Anyone wishing to play should add their name to the list on the notice board in the YM clubrooms.

Y.M. 200 CLUB
There are still several numbers available in the Gala YM 200 club. Annual membership costs £24 and monthly prizes range from £20 to £80. In addition there is a special draw on Hogmanay with a bumper prize of £1000. The 200 club also provides a valuable fundraiser for Gala YM and helps to cover the clubs running costs. VETS TOUCH RUGBY
Training re starts this Thursday 12th August, Touch Rugby every Thursday starting at 7 pm on the back pitches at Netherdale.

GALA RFC
Gala are away to Haddington this Saturday 14th August kick off 3.00. Full fixture list now on web site.

ROONY
Our club mascot Roony requires someone to look after him on match days and special occasions, can you help? Contact Ian G Millar for further details.

VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED
Volunteers required on the following Thursday nights12th, 17th and 19th August down at Netherdale at 7pm to help clean up the ground and facilities. Helpers to provide their own buckets/dusters/cloths etc.

UKCC LEVEL 1 & 2 COACHING COURSE’S
Certificate in Coaching Rugby Union Qualification, Level 1 course is designed for anyone over the age of 16 who are looking for an introduction to working with grass-roots/junior rugby teams or for parents of children in junior rugby teams who want to get more involved. Level 2 Course is for those who would like to help develop players at a more senior level. The Borders course’s will take place at Melrose RFC in September.
