Gala players Spring a visit on the BGH

Easter celebrations arrived early to children in Ward 15 of the Borders General Hospital when Gala RFC players traded the oval ball for chocolate eggs.
Five representatives of the club delighted the young people on Wednesday evening with their charm, and decorated bags of chocolates which had been kindly donated to the club for the kids within the local environ. The visit was made more enjoyable by the warm and welcoming personas of the nursing staff.
'The Gala team consists of a fantastic group of home grown players.Being able to offer a little suppport through the club to the Galashiels community, and in particular the children, is an honour and is very rewarding' says Lynda Stoddart of the Player Welfare Group. 'The support of activities within the community is a focal area which we aim to groom and develop over the coming years'.
