RBS/SRU Club of the Month

Gala RFC is proud to announce it has won the SRU/RBS Club of the Month for December 2011.
In addition we were presented with the real Bill McLaren Shield, the first time this has been available, and it is even more impressive in real life than the photos show (available on our Facebook page), and now on display in the Clubrooms.

Ladies Lunch

The Ladies section are holding a Lunch for Lady members and friends on Saturday 11th February starting at 12noon. This is prior to the Boroughmuir game. Tickets are priced at £22. To book your place contact the Club Office on 01896 755145.

Cheese & Wine Sunday Lunch

A Cheese and Wine Sunday Lunch which will also incorporate the draw for the Gala Seven will be held on Sunday 11th March at 12.30 in the clubrooms.

Recent Results

1st XV - Pity this one wasn't called off. Poor performance sees 12-32 thumping by Currie, and we lose our hold on "Big Bill".
Gala A - called off by RHC on Friday, but will only be awarded a 28-0 win when we beat them by over 100 earlier in season. Maybe that's why.
Gala YM - off due to weather.

Referees Wanted

Interested in Refereeing? all Gala rugby clubs are always looking for players/ex players (or anyone over the age of 16) to help referee the many rugby games that take place at Netherdale each week from the Minis up to senior teams. Contact Ian G Millar for further details.

Friday Lunch Club

The next Friday Lunch Club at Netherdale is on Friday 10th February 2012, when the guest speaker will be Ian Barr from Lasswade Rugby Club. The cost of the lunch is still only £25 per person and tickets are available fromJim Gilchrist on 01896 758586 or Gordon Keddie at the Club Office.
