Edwin Garrett Awards

Conclude this fantastic season by recognising the players who represented Gala at the Edwin Garrett Awards on 2nd June, 7.00pm.
A light buffet to start the evening, followed by the awards, and a question & answer session. Music will then kick in for the remainder of the evening.
Tickets are £6.00 each and available from the Club or Info Hub, 2 Channel St, Galashiels

Netherdale News Coordinator

Gala Rugby is looking for a willing volunteer to take over the role of coordinating the Netherdale news the weekly information slot in the Border Telegraph starting from the 1st week in June. Would suit someone who has a spare hour or two on a Monday morning, we feel it is very important that we keep this form of communication going as it promotes and informs everyone on what is going on within Gala Rugby on a regular basis. Matt Lochrie Memorial Match

Over 800 spectators turned out on Friday night to watch the GRT U15 beat Melrose 29-25 in what was a very exciting game of rugby and a fitting tribute for the Triangle player Matt Lochrie who tragically died earlier this year. Thanks go to Jamie Dewar for all his hard work in coordinating the evening.

Gala Wanderers Kings of the 7s

Congratulations to Gala Wanderers on being crowned Kings of the Border Semi Junior Sevens circuit after a fine win at Jed Thistle Sevens on Saturday. They have also recorded wins at Langholm, Melrose, Hawick & and their own 7s along with runners up at Peebles.
