Gala RFC vs Marr

Saturday 20th April 2019, Away - 3pm Kick Off

This is the final 15s game of the season for the maroons, and the stage is set for a thriller - Marr are fighting to win the Tennent's National League 1, and Gala are fighting to join them up in the newly restructured Tennent's Premiership.

Here is the team:

There are a few permutations which could result in the maroons going up or staying down.

Here is the current league table. (Correct as of 3pm Friday 19th April 2019)

Marr vs Gala - Saturday 20th April, 3pm Kick Off

Jed-Forest vs Musselburgh - Saturday 20th April, 3pm Kick Off

Situation 1:

Gala RFC win against Marr without a Try bonus point.

This would take Gala to 67 points.

If Musselburgh win without a Try bonus point, Gala will be promoted.

If Musselburgh win with a Try Bonus Point, both teams would have 67 points and the team with a greater points difference after tomorrows games would be promoted.

Situation 2:

Gala RFC lose to Marr with a losing bonus point.

Musselburgh would need a win (with or without a TBP) to be promoted, if they lost Gala would be promoted.

Situation 3:

Both Gala and Musselburgh lose. If both lost without any bonus points, Gala would be promoted. If Musselburgh gained a bonus point the team with a greater points difference after tomorrows games would be promoted.

Ideally for Gala to be promoted the maroons must win against Marr, with a bonus point. This would take it out of Musselburgh's hands and the maroons would be promoted.

Either way, tomorrow is set to be a club rugby thriller, two games, four teams, and massive incentives for all four teams - two are fighting to be crowned league champions, two are fighting to join them in the top flight of Scottish Amateur Club Rugby.
